Missoula, MT (KGVO-AM News) - On August 21, 2025, at approximately 9:47 p.m., Missoula Police Department officers responded to the McDonald’s on Broadway Street after John Doe, a juvenile, reported that a female stole his food while in the “play area” at the restaurant. Doe described the female and stated that she had thrown his food.

Upon arrival, an officer located the female at the intersection of Broadway and Cooper (across the street from McDonald’s). The officer stopped the female and identified her as 32-year-old Chantal Amador. He recognized Amador from numerous prior contacts.

The officer noted that Amador has generated more than 10 calls for service since August 9, 2025. She has been arrested and cited multiple times for these incidents. The officer personally trespassed Amador from McDonald’s on August 13, 2025. During that incident, Amador was violent towards employees and took items out of their hands.

Amador Has Several Pending Cases

According to court documents, Amador has five pending cases in Municipal Court, three of which are trespass cases, and one pending trespass case in Justice Court. All six new cases were filed within the last nine days.

The officer spoke with Amador, who stated that a group of males had been following her around and calling her racial slurs. Amador said that she initially entered McDonald’s to charge her phone. She declined to answer specific questions about the theft.

While the officer was speaking with Amador, a group of three males, which included Doe, approached. The officer ordered the males to remain by his patrol vehicle until additional officers could arrive on scene to take a statement.

Doe Explains What Happened

An officer spoke with Doe, who explained that they were eating inside McDonald’s when Amador approached them and attempted to take their food. The group engaged in a verbal argument with Amador. Amador then went into the bathroom but came back and grabbed a double cheeseburger off their table and fled out the door.

Doe said he followed Amador and called 911. Once outside, Amador picked up a stick and told Doe to stop trying to steal her food. Doe said Amador did not threaten or strike him with the stick.
