Missoula, MT (KGVO-AM News) - On July 21, 2024, a Montana Highway Patrol Trooper observed a motor vehicle traveling southbound on US Highway 93 into Lolo. The trooper’s radar showed the vehicle traveling 72 MPH entering a 45 MPH zone. The trooper observed that the driver was a male and there was one female passenger.

The trooper activated his emergency lights and turned around, and the vehicle accelerated rapidly. The vehicle began weaving in and out of traffic at speeds of greater than 90 MPH in what was now a 35 MPH zone in Lolo. Upon leaving Lolo, the vehicle began using the left turn lane to pass vehicles and was traveling at approximately 110 MPH in a 45 MPH zone, at one point reaching a speed of 130 MPH while weaving.

The vehicle also used the northbound passing lane. The trooper noted that the vehicle came close to hitting 14 other vehicles, one of which was required to swerve to avoid a head-on collision.

Dispatch later notified the trooper that the vehicle was in Florence and the suspects were at a nearby gas station. He arrived there and was advised by two witnesses that the suspects were outside. The driver was identified as 30-year-old Aaron Hill and the passenger was identified as 33-year-old Breana Marks.

Marks told the trooper that Hill had been placing things into her backpack after they had left the vehicle. She stated that there was drug paraphernalia in her backpack and a box, which she did not know the contents of. She believed that Hill used drugs, specifically either methamphetamine or fentanyl.

The vehicle was towed to the Montana Highway Patrol’s District Office. As the tow driver opened the door to move the vehicle, they observed tin foil, a grinder, a torch, and jars in the driver’s door. Dispatch advised the trooper that Hill’s license status was revoked as a habitual traffic offender.
