Bozeman Gas Leak Forced Evacuation

NorthWestern Energy spokeswoman Claudia Rapkoch says construction crews were working on a sewer line Monday afternoon when they hit a service line that connects with the 4-inch main gas line.

The leak cut gas service to 14 customers.

The block between Babcock and Olive streets and Eighth and Seventh avenues was evacuated and power turned off to about four surrounding blocks.

Fire and police crews responded to the scene, but the leak has since been sealed.
