Bonner Bank Robbery Suspect Arrested near Seeley Lake
KGVO News spoke with Missoula County Sheriff’s Office Public Information Officer Jeannette Smith about a bank robbery in Bonner on Monday and a subsequent arrest.
“On January 24, at approximately 1:07 p.m. Missoula County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the Trail West Bank in Bonner for a report of a robbery that just occurred,” began Smith. “The suspect, described as a male in dark clothing, fled the area with an undetermined amount of cash. Missoula County Sheriff’s Deputies and Detectives, assisted by multiple agencies, began an extensive search for the suspect.”
Smith then described how the suspect was found and arrested.
“Information led Detectives and Deputies to the Seeley Lake area where the suspect was taken into custody without incident in the early morning hours of January 25 and then booked into the Missoula County Detention Facility.”
Smith asked the public for assistance in the bank robbery investigation.
“There is no public safety threat from this incident,” she said. “The investigation into the details is ongoing. If you witnessed this event or have information pertinent to the robbery, please contact Detective Sunderland at 406-531-0766.”
The suspect’s name was not released.
