BILLINGS, Mont. (AP) — An assistant fire chief in Billings is on paid administrative leave pending an investigation.

City Administrator Tina Volek said Monday that Frank Odermann was placed on leave Thursday.

KTVQ-TV in Billings reports the investigation stems from an internal complaint. Volek tells The Billings Gazette the city has hired an outside investigator to look into it. She expects the review to take about two more weeks.

She says other details won't be released until the investigation ends.
