Missoula, MT (KGVO-AM News) - On August 21, 2025, at approximately 09:36 a.m., a Missoula Police Department Officer was dispatched to a report of a burglary that occurred sometime over night at Florence Coffee (FloCo) on N Reserve St. A manager told 911 she had video of a female breaking in, and that she had received an alarm the night before but when she checked the cameras, the female had already left.

At approximately 12:40 a.m., the female was seen on video breaking into an outside storage unit. The female stole napkins, cups, and tea bags. The manager explained that the female returned to FloCo shortly after and was seen using a knife to pry open the door. The female was then seen on video opening the cash register and looking into it. There was no money in the register so the female ran out of FloCo in a hurry because the alarm was going off.

The officer reviewed a still photograph and, based on prior contacts from the same day, determined the female suspect was 29-year-old Hailie Sharbono. The officer also observed that Sharbono had a dog with her that was consistent with the dog she had during their previous contact. Later that day, an officer was patrolling near North Reserve and Expressway when he located Sharbono and placed her under arrest for burglary.

According to court documents, Sharbono explained that she owed people money, and that those people told her to break into FloCo. Sharbono was adamant she did not take anything but admitted that she opened the cash register because she thought there would be gift cards in it.

An officer asked Sharbono how she got into FloCo and she stated “they” gave her a knife to break into the coffee shop. The officer asked Sharbono where the knife she used to break in was located, and Sharbono stated the knife was in her purse. Sharbono gave the officer consent to search the purse for the knife, which was located in a leather sheath. Sharbono was ultimately booked into the Missoula County Detention Facility.
