The Missoula County Sheriff's Office, along with many other law enforcement and public safety agencies is partnering with Target Stores to host the 60th Annual National Night Out, Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Sheriff's Office Public Information Officer Paige Pavalone said there will be a variety of agencies represented at the event.

"It's a community-based event, so the public is invited to attend," Pavalone said. "Its a chance to meet-and-greet with various public safety agencies and emergency personnel. The Montana Highway Patrol will be there with some DUI simulations, along with the Missoula Police Department, the sheriff's office, Crimestoppers, Buckle-Up Montana, Animal Control, Life Flight will be there with the helicopter, Search and rescue and Neighborhood Watch, just to name a few."

Pavalone said there would be lots of hands-on demonstrations and chances for kids to interact with law enforcement and emergency personnel, and there will be a free barbeque, as well.

The event is from 4:00 p.m. till 7:00 p.m. in the Target store parking lot.
