In a Thursday meeting, Governor Brian Schweitzer told House and Senate leadership not to send him what he called a broken workers' comp bill.

 Montana businesses pay the highest workers' comp premiums in the Nation. The bill would close workers comp claims after five years, with a two-year extension allowed for surgeries. House Speaker Mike Millburn and Senate President Jim Peterson say the issue can't wait because it's hurting job growth. They say the bill that passed the house would effectively reform the system.
