Woman Admits Drinking to Deputies Then Arrested for 4th DUI [AUDIO]

51 year-old Donna Perkins spoke to Missoula County Sheriff's deputies Wednesday night about an assault at a Frenchtown bar. Deputies noted that Perkins smelled of alcohol and admitted that she had been drinking. She did not want to provide a breath sample because she said she knew she would be over the limit.

A few minutes later, Perkins drove away from the bar. A Sheriff's deputy followed her and noted that she was driving erratically. She was pulled over and provided a breath sample of .177. The legal limit for intoxication is .08.  Court records indicate that Perkins has three previous DUI convictions.  Deputy Missoula County Attorney Jennifer Clark says Perkins appeared in Justice Court Thursday afternoon and was charged with her 4th DUI, a felony. She is currently in the Missoula County Jail on $25.000 bond.
