The senate approved legislation on Monday to let voters decide whether the legislature should meet every year, rather than every 2 years. Bill sponsor, Senator Jeff Essman, says annual sessions would enhance the process of the Legislature.

The bill would reduce the number of days the legislature is in session, from 90 days every other year, to no more than 80 days for 2 sessions, over 2 years.
