Missoula authorities say two men required surgery after a fight over a bottle of beer.

Police Lt. Scott Brodie says officers responded to a disturbance in west Missoula at about 2:30 a.m. Monday and found one of the men with a stab wound beneath the arm and another with cuts on his head. The lieutenant says the beer bottle and a knife were allegedly used as weapons.

The names of the men, ages 30 and 20, have not been released, and no charges have been filed.

Brodie says it appears the men, who were friends, were fighting over the last bottle of beer. Their names have not been released.
