The University Center is presenting several special events during UM Week to welcome students back to campus for a new fall term.

Associate Director for Student Involvement and Communications, Adrianne Donald, said the events begin with classic outdoor theater,

"Tonight (Monday) and tomorrow night (Tuesday), we have Shakespeare in the Park on the Oval," Donald said. "Bring a blanket or a lawn chair. On Wednesday we'll have Convocation starting at 8 p.m. on the Oval. Thursday evening, we have Jurassic World, presented on a big screen outdoors. We'll start at about 9:30 p.m. or so, after it gets good and dark. We're expecting a huge crowd for that. It's free and open to the general public."

Donald said Friday brings a special event to the Oval.

"We'll end the week with what we call 'Welcome Feast'," she said. "It's a way to introduce the many academic programs and services available to students. From 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. students will enjoy a live band, lunch on the Oval, as well as walking around the Oval meeting the various academic faculty and student services. Then,of course, we have the Griz game against Cal Poly on Saturday night at 7:00 p.m."
