UM Denies Delay In Reporting Sexual Assault [AUDIO]

University President Royce Engstrom met with the press Friday afternoon to set the record straight on the timeline in which the latest incident of sexual assault was reported. I asked President Engstrom if he felt press coverage inferring the University's inaction may have led to a suspect, who is from Saudi Arabia, leaving town before official charges could be filed by Missoula Police. Two portions from the press conference are included in the post.Engstrom says the University followed proper protocol to protect the identities of both the victim and the suspect, and that the suspect will never be allowed back on the UM campus.
