The engine of a semi truck caught fire early Friday afternoon at a diesel repair shop in East Missoula causing large flames to shoot into the air. The Missoula County Sheriff’s Department and Missoula Rural Fire were reported to be on scene of the blaze. Authorities say a nearby oxygen tank also caught on fire and exploded. Highway 200 was shut down temporarily while the fire was being controlled. No one was injured in the blaze and no buildings or other vehicles were damaged. Authorities say they do not suspect criminal behavior at this time. The highway has since been reopened.
