A 55-year-old tribal member who had been reported missing was found on Wednesday morning. Authorities are still investigating, but Linda Santos Altamirano is safe and well.

She had been reported missing after she did not show up for her job at the Tribal complex in Pablo Monday. She was last seen in her Ronan home near midnight Sunday night. A person who had seen the missing person media reports  spotted a woman he thought might have been Altamirano.

Authorities were contacted and found Altamirano safe in Ronan. No other information is being released at this time.

 

A 55-year-old Salish Kootenai tribal member has been reported missing after she did not show up for her job at the Tribal complex in Pablo on Monday. She was last seen in her Ronan home near midnight Sunday night.

 

According to a news release issued by tribal police, Linda Santos Altamarino’s husband reported her missing when she did not report to work Monday. Her car, purse, and glasses are still in her home. Her husband checked around Ronan and has not located her.

Altamarino is 5-foot-5, 139 pounds with brown eyes and black hair. She may be wearing brown tennis shoes. Anyone with information about her whereabouts should call Tribal Law and Order at (406) 675-4700, or call the Lake County Sheriff’s Office at (406) 883-7301.
