Three Year Old Stevensville Drowning Victim Identified [AUDIO]

The Ravalli County Sheriff’s Office has released the name of the three year-old boy who drowned in the Bitterroot River on Friday as Tristan Iverson of Stevensville.

Undersheriff Steve Holton said the incident occurred at the Bell Crossing Fishing Access site on Friday afternoon.

“Three year-old Tristan Iverson was pronounced dead at about 3 a.m. on Saturday morning at Marcus Daly Hospital,” Holton said. “The raft he was in with his father and six year-old brother capsized after hitting a log in the river. The accident is currently under investigation by the Ravalli County Sheriff’s Office and the Montana Department of Fish, Wildlife and Parks.”
