The Dangers of Texting While Walking [VIDEOS]

Everyone should know by now that texting while driving can lead to death and destruction, but few people realize the risks of texting while walking. Two days ago, a man was almost mauled by a bear in Los Angeles as he attempted to tap one more LOL or CYA L8R into his phone. Here's how that event played out:

There are a thousand humiliating things that could happen to those who choose to text and walk, for example you can fall into a fountain;

or you could trot off the edge of a pier;

or into an open manhole.

The city of Philadelphia once considered fining pedestrians who were texting while walking, but we're interested in hearing what you think.
