Senator Jon Tester is turning his efforts toward veterans who get health care at vet centers. Montana has four vet centers (Kalispell, Missoula, Great Falls and Billings). But veterans who travel to them don’t get reimbursed for their mileage. So tester introduced legislation to change that. During a senate hearing VA officials told Tester they look forward to working with him on his bill.

Senator tester successfully boosted the VA’s reimbursement for disabled veterans who travel to VA clinics and hospitals… from 11 cents to 41 and-a-half cents per mile.
