Deer, Antelope Harvest Down In Northeast Montana

Wildlife officials say a harsh winter combined with spring flooding and a summer disease outbreak have reduced antelope and deer numbers, leading to fewer hunters visiting northeast Montana.

Wolf Hunt Court Protest Denied [AUDIO]

Speaking with Ron Aasheim at Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks Tuesday afternoon, he revealed that the 9th U. S. Circuit Court of Appeals has denied an emergency request by three environmental groups to halt wolf hunts in Montana and Idaho. More Than 20 People Drowned In Montana This Year

More than 20 people died of drowning and in boating accidents in Montana this spring and summer and the heavy snowpack, spring rains and swollen rivers were partly to blame.

The first drowning of the year occurred on May 7 in the Yellowstone River when a Billings fisherman's boat capsized downstream from Huntley.
