Missoula police are looking for two suspects in an alleged shoplifting incident at the Safeway store on Broadway on Monday, October 29th.

Detective sergeant Travis Welsh says a man and a woman are suspected of hiding a bottle of wine inside a coat and then leaving the store without paying. When a store security officer followed the couple to their car, he was struck by the vehicle's outside mirror as the couple drove away.

Welsh says the store employee did not seek medical treatment, but that the incident may now be more than just simple shoplifting.

Photos captured from the store's surveillance cameras are displayed above.

If you have any information about the suspect vehicle, a green station with Washington state plates number AMG3247, you are asked to call Crimestoppers at 721-44-44.
