Red Cross Month – Second Take [Part III] [AUDIO]
Through a worldwide network, the American Red Cross provides 24-hour support to members of the military, their families – in war zones, military hospitals, and on military installations around the world.
The Governor’s Office of Community Service is joining the efforts by partnering with the Red Cross as part of its Ready Montana program. AmeriCorps Campus Corps members from several Montana colleges and universities will be distributing 6,100 Red Cross disaster preparedness bags to households throughout the state. The preparedness bags, which have been provided by the Governor’s Office of Community Service, will give residents the guidance needed to shelter in place or evacuate to a shelter during a disaster…Red Cross Paretnership
Another major focus for the Red Cross is health and safety training. First Aid, CPR, and water safety are the courses most of us know. What you may not know is that they’ve changed. Listen as Jenny Litus talks about these two important missions.
