Red Cross Month – Second Take [Part I] [AUDIO]
March is Red Cross Month, a time to remind everyone of the work of the American Red Cross in Western Montana communities, across the country, and around the globe. All week, Second Take will look at different components of the Red Cross and how you can find out more about it.
The American Red Cross was created in 1881 by Clara Barton and officially chartered by Congress in 1900 to provide national and international relief during disasters, and to give relief to the military and serve as a means of communications between members of the Armed Forces and their families. Check the Montana Red Cross website.
In today’s program, we get an overview to Red Cross services from Resource Development Associate Jenny Litus.
