Reasons to Visit Missoula this Fall and Winter

Just because the weather gets a little colder soon, doesn’t mean that Missoula and Western Montana close the blinds and hibernate for the winter. In fact, the opposite is true. There is just as much to enjoy about our fair city when the snow flies, as when the sun shines 20 hours a day. Don’t believe me? Check out all the great things that we have to offer as the seasons change.

Drop a line

No matter what time of year it is, the fishing is always great in and around Missoula. Whether it’s ice fishing at one of the many local lakes or fly fishing in your waders and jacket, there’s still fish to catch, even when the seasons change.

Pig skin

Fall in Missoula means football. The University of Montana homecoming and Grizzly football are a Missoula tradition. If you’re looking for a good time tailgating, a good ball game and an all around good time, then a Grizzly home game is for you.

It doesn’t matter what time of year it is, Missoula’s breweries and wineries are always open. If you love microbrews, then this is the place for you. Missoula is home to numerous breweries so we’re sure to have something to satisfy everyone’s taste buds.
