CSKT officials are asking the public to keep an eye out for suspicious behavior after a series of fires have popped up around the Flathead Indian Reservation.

“We had some suspicious starts last week throughout the reservation, no really big trend of where or why, but they are suspicious, suspected arson," said CSKT Fire Information Officer C.T. Camel. "We are looking into it right now and have investigators on it, but we would like the public to help out if they see anything suspicious. You can report it at wetip.com or there’s a 1 800 47-ARSON (27766) number you can call.”

Camel says there have been about six fire starts over the past week that were suspicious, one of which was near a turnout by the Bison Range. The most recent fire starts were on Monday in the Twin Lakes area. Camel says the cause of the fires is still under investigation, but they know they were not caused by lightning.
