Former Speaker of the United States House of Representatives, Newt Gingrich is scheduled to speak to attendees of the Montana Republican Party convention this Saturday in Missoula.  The chair of the Montana Republican party, Will Deschamps offers a preview of Gingrich's speech and discusses the upcoming events.

Deschamps says that presidential candidate Mitt Romney has also been invited to speak in Montana. Many assume that Romney is unlikely to campaign in Montana because the state is considered "safe" for Republicans and is also one of only seven states to offer the minimum number (3) of electoral college delegates. Since the early 70's Montana has only voted in favor of the Democratic presidential candidate once.

Registration for the convention will cost $300 and according to Deschamps over 400 people have already registered making the event the largest Republican convention in Montana State history. The Montana Republican Party website is also selling a breakfast with Gingrich at $45.00 per person. Those that have already paid to attend the convention will be able to eat breakfast with Gingrich without an added charge.
