Today, The Montana Department of Labor and Industry released the January unemployment numbers. Here is an exclusive KGVO News  interview with Montana Labor Commissioner Keith Kelly on the numbers and their meaning for the state of Montana.

Montana’s unemployment rate was 6.5% in January, nearly two percentage points better than the rest of the country, but nowhere near the 3%  unemployment rate Montana enjoyed back in December of 2006. The rate has been on a slow but steady decline from a it hovered near 7% last July.
