Authorities say a man in his 20's or 30's, apparently from Missoula, died sometime between late Friday night and early Sunday morning after being struck by a train traveling at about 50 miles per hour. Sergeant Tony Rio with the Missoula County Sheriff's Department says the man was attending a concert at the Rock Creek Lodge. Authorities were called to the scene after a report to 9-1-1 of a body on the tracks.

Rio says authorities are working on one clue, that the Sheriff's Department received a call from Montana Rail Link officials on Saturday night about people playing chicken with passing trains. The man's remains were transported to the State Crime Lab in Missoula. His name will not be made public until his next of kin can be contacted.
