Missoula Man Impersonates Employee to Steal Drugs From Hospital [AUDIO]

28 year-old Nicholas Schelin was arrested early Thursday morning after allegedly impersonating a hospital employee and stealing drugs from St. Patrick Hospital.
Deputy Missoula County Attorney Andrew Paul says Schelin and his girlfriend went to the St. Patrick Hospital to be treated early Thursday morning. Hospital employees said Schelin dressed up in hospital scrubs and a surgical mask and entered the Radiology department where he began removing items from a ‘crash cart’.

Schelin fled when employees called for hospital security. Police chased him through the neighborhood and found him still wearing the blue hospital gloves, after he had discarded the scrubs. Schelin was taken into custody and found to be in possession of drugs and other items from the hospital.
Paul says Schelin appeared in Missoula Justice Court Thursday afternoon and was charged with felony possession of dangerous drugs and theft. He remains in the Missoula County Jail on $25,000 bond.
No one was hurt in the incident.
