HELENA, Mont. (AP) — A federal judge has sentenced members of a Miles City family of medical marijuana providers to prison after they pleaded guilty to drug charges.

Richard Flor, his wife Sherry and their son Justin ran a medical marijuana operation out of their home and from a Billings dispensary. Richard Flor was a co-owner of Montana Cannabis, one of the state's largest medical pot operations and a target of the March 2011 raids across Montana as part of a federal crackdown.

U.S. District Judge Charles Lovell on Thursday sentenced Richard Flor to five years imprisonment. Flor suffers from several ailments, so Lovell recommended he be evaluated at a hospital to determine the best place for him.

Sherry Flor was sentenced to two years while Justin Flor also received a five-year sentence.
