Man Assaulted And Knocked Unconscious [AUDIO]

A Missoula man was assaulted and knocked unconscious outside his home early this morning. Sergeant Tony Rio with the Missoula County Sheriff's departmemt says deputies were called to the man's home at about 4:30 this morning. The victim told deputies he heard his dogs barking and when he went outside to investigate, he saw an unidentified man standing by his pickup truck.

Rio says the man suffered two broken ribs and a bump on the head. Authorities are checking for fingerprints on the weapon used in the assault. If you have any information, please call Crimestoppers at 721-44-44. Rio's comments are attached.
