On Monday night, the Missoula City Council voted to approve Kathleen Jenks to succeed Donald Louden as chief Municipal Court Judge. There were seven other applicants for the position. I spoke with City Councilor Renee Mitchell about the temporary appointment. That interview is attached.

Jenks will run for the office in 2013. Judge Louden served on the bench for nearly 20 years, and stepped down in the middle of his term because of family matters.
