Judge Allows Ballot Review [AUDIO]

On Wednesday District Judge Ed McLean sided with Missoula CPA Patty Lovaas, allowing her and a group of 12 citizens to examine ballots from the School District One Mill Levy election held 18 months ago. The judge’s decision allows Ms. Lovaas and 12 other citizens to examine the ballots.
Lovaas says her ultimate goal is to overturn the mill levy election, so that a second election could be held to raise property taxes. If the election does not succeed, then Lovaas wants to see the monies already spent by the school district from the levy returned to the taxpayers of Missoula County.
