An unidentified infant boy was killed Wednesday morning as the result of a one-vehicle rollover crash that occurred on Interstate 90 not far from Superior.

Montana Highway Patrol trooper Sean Smalley says the little boy was one of nine passengers in a Dodge Durango SUV when the driver lost control of the vehicle at about 8:30 Wednesday morning. The driver over corrected and the vehicle rolled into the median, where several of the passengers were ejected.

Smalley says he doubts that anyone in the vehicle was wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident. It is not known at this time if either speed or alcohol may have played a part in the fatal rollover.

The accident is under investigation by the Montana Highway Patrol and the Mineral County Sheriff's Department.
