Severe weather is on its way to Missoula and the surrounding area. General Forecaster for the National Weather Service, Jeff Kitsmiller explains what the local valleys can expect on Wednesday night and Thursday.

The weather doesn't plan on playing nice after the onslaught of snow. Freezing rain is likely to effect traffic as temperatures begin to rise on Friday. Kitsmiller explains why Missoula will get a double dose of hard weather.

The rain should keep pouring through Saturday when the temperatures should be high enough to melt the ice away.
