Missoula Fire Department crews responded to a fire at 146 Woodford at about 4:30 this morning and found the upper floors of the scructure engulfed in flames. Initial reports said two people may have still been in the upstairs portion of the building that contained The Green Hanger. Crews gained access to the second floor and found that everyone had already been safely evacuated.

Fire investigators are attempting to determine the cause of the fire, which is estimated to have caused about $100,000 in damage. No firefighters were injured while fighting the blaze. My interview with Assistant Fire Chief Jeff Brandt is below.
