Glacier Park Checking Canoes and Kayaks For Invasive Species [AUDIO]

For the first time, visitors to Glacier National Park will be asked to check their hand-powered watercraft for invasive aquatic species. Visitors with motorized watercraft have been required to get their boats checked for several years. Public Affairs Director Denise German says there is an all-out effort to keep these invasive species out of the Park, as they could multiply and destroy the natural habitat.
German says visitors can download the self-check form off the Glacier Park website. Comments from Denise German are below.
