Gas prices in Montana have been declining in the past several days. Petroleum Analyst Patrick DeHaan said it’s been a pretty good week:

"Average prices in Montana dropping seven cents a gallon in the last week and currently stand at $3.37. That's about 15 cents lower than where we were a year ago," DeHaan said. "Some of the lowest prices in the state now in Helena at $3.15, Great Falls at $3.20, Bozeman at $3.28. I don't see a whole lot of low prices in Billings just yet, but those should be right around the corner."

DeHaan said prices are down to $3.33 per gallon at most stations in Missoula. He said those prices may drop five or 10 more cents in the next week.

"It's really likely that Montana prices will drop another, say, four or eight cents per gallon," DeHaan said. "Another decent decrease coming up: Missoula should drop into the $3.20s here in the next week."

In the last week, prices have dropped around nine cents nationwide to $3.19 per gallon.
