In the past week, gas prices continued to drop statewide. Petroleum Analyst Patrick DeHaan with gasbuddy.com has more:

"Yeah, another big decline here in Montana; Prices dropping 10 cents a gallon here in the last week. The national average also dropped 10 cents a gallon," DeHaan said. "For motorists out there, it continues to be good news. Some of the cheapest prices in the state now: $3.11 in Helena, $3.15 in Great Falls, $3.17 in Billings, and $3.18 in Missoula. Prices should continue going down for a good part of this week as well."

Nationwide, average fuel prices are close to $3.12 per gallon.
