A former high school girls' basketball coach has pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting one of his players in exchange for a recommendation that he be sentenced to 15 years in prison.

The Bozeman Daily Chronicle reports 22-year-old Cyle Keith Kokot entered his plea Friday before District Judge John Brown. The judge is not bound by the plea agreement. Sentencing is set for June 30.

Kokot was initially charged with two counts of sexual intercourse without consent last September after a girl who had played basketball at Lone Peak High School reported Kokot had raped her in January. A second girl said she had sex with Kokot several times between September 2013 and June 2014.

Kokot was the girls' basketball coach at Lone Peak High during the 2013-14 season.
