24 year-old Kory Piatz was charged in Missoula Justice Court Tuesday afternoon with felony theft, felony burglary, misdemeanor onstructing a peace officer and other misdemeanors after it was discovered that he had allegedly stolen thousands of dollars of construction equipment and pawned the merchandise.

When confronted by authorities, Piatz gave a false name, and was arrested. Piatz was placed in the Missoula County Jail on $100,000 combined bond for the two felonies. His next court appearance will be April 24th. My interview with Missoula County Attorney Fred Van Valkenburg is below.
