Ada County officials say an explosion rocked a Meridian recreational vehicle park, two fifth-wheel trailers were destroyed and a man was hospitalized with serious injuries.

The explosion was reported at about 3:30 a.m. Thursday at the Boise-Meridian RV Resort.

Park manager Ron Lundquist tells The Associated Press a man who had rented one of the fifth-wheel trailers was found lying near the trailer after the explosion. Lundquist says he was flown to the University of Utah Burn Center in Salt Lake City.

Lundquist says he believes the explosion caused a fire that was fueled by a propane tank.

Another fifth-wheel was substantially damaged. No one else was injured. Associated Press
