The Missoula County Attorney’s Office handled an unusually low number of cases this week. County Attorney Jason Marks explains.

“We only filed seven new felony cases this past week, which is a very low number for us as I am sure you probably know from these weekly updates,” Marks said. “Unfortunately, several of them were pretty serious domestic violence cases. When I say it was a light week, it wasn’t necessarily minor stuff. In terms of numbers, we had a pretty light week.”

According to Marks, the office also filed a couple drug cases and one felony DUI case.
