HELENA, Mont. (AP) — Officials in Lewis and Clark County say a 5-year-old boy suffered serious injuries when he was hit by a motorhome driven by his father northwest of Helena.

Sheriff Leo Dutton says the boy was hit just before 2 p.m. Sunday. He says the father was moving the motorhome forward when he felt a bump. Dutton says the boy suffered some serious injuries to his chest. He tells the Independent Record the boy was flown to a hospital in Seattle in critical condition.

The patrol is investigating. No citations have been issued.
