The Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport is on track to be the state's busiest in 2013.

Deputy airport director Scott Humphrey tells the Bozeman Daily Chronicle that the number of passengers flying into and out of Bozeman Yellowstone International totaled 812,093 through the end of November, while Billings Logan International saw 705,492 passengers during the same time period.

Humphrey says passenger totals at the Bozeman airport surpassed Billings over the summer. Numbers for December are not available yet.

Humphrey attributes the increase in Bozeman passenger numbers to the addition of a direct flight to New York this year, as well as an additional Delta flight to Los Angeles on Saturdays. Humphrey said a daily direct flight to Atlanta was also added for the holiday season while Billings lost Frontier Airlines.
