Mayor John Engen embarked on the Best Places Project for economic development a year ago. In that time a group of business and community leaders have come together to create the economic partnership. Mayor Engen says the goals in place are certainly defined and achievable.

The goals include creating 2,500 new jobs in Missoula that pay a minimum of  $37,000 per year. CEO of St. Patrick Hospital Jeff Fee says defining what the business landscape will look like is an important piece of the puzzle.

The search for an executive director of the privately funded economic partnership is underway.
