Authorities in Billings say they're looking for a convict from Missoula who walked away from a pre-release center.

Police say 28-year-old Joseph Sleeping Bear walked away from the Alpha House center in Billings just after midnight Saturday.

Sleeping Bear is described as a 4-foot-11 white male with brown hair and eyes. He weighs 155 pounds and last was seen wearing a gray and black sweatshirt, jeans, black shoes and a baseball cap.

Sleeping Bear was convicted of criminal possession of dangerous drugs out of Lake County. He was sentenced May 22 and arrived at Alpha House on Oct. 27.

The Billings Gazette reports he could face a felony escape charge, which carries a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison.
