Before I moved to Missoula, I lived in Kalispell and had made many good friends over the course of years that I stayed there. Back in 2004, money never really seemed to be too much of an issue. But then again, that was before the entire global market came to a screeching halt. Since then, the lack of jobs and income has washed up large cities like Detroit and even as close as Spokane. We thought that perhaps Montana could be able to sustain itself with the tighter knit communities and small town prices. We were wrong.
Vote for which one of these local coffee perfectionists deserve this week's honor in our Zootown's Best Barista!
For the past few weeks, we've asked you to submit your nominations on who you believe makes the best coffee in Missoula, and this week we serve up two percolating professionals who sling java for a living locally.
This week it's Elizabeth from Florence Coffee vs. Kyla from Loose Caboose! It's up to you to decide who walks away with the honors. Vote as often as you'd like!
Ok, so we aren't Craigslist, but it's still worth mentioning that this unique little trailer all dolled up in Montana Grizzlies colors is up for grabs for a real good price.
I have always had dreams of hitting the open road with a camper like this, maybe cruise up to the Flathead Lake campgrounds, circle up through Glacier and back just in time for a tailgate party. Who knows? Maybe that day will come for me one day. But until then, you can snag this classic trailer adorned in maroon and grey with the official Griz logo for a screaming deal.
In what could be one of the largest Missoula area manhunts in recent years, with 9,300 members in the Facebook search and rescue group, and thousands of hand bills and posters placed around town, tonight the group revealed that Carter's body has been located.
UM President Dr. Royce Engstrom has announced that former UM associate head coach Mick Delaney will serve as the Grizzlies’ interim head football coach, while Jean Gee has been selected as the school’s interim athletic director.
Delaney recently concluded his fourth season as an assistant coach at Montana and working with the running backs, and was the associate head coach. A veteran mentor, Delaney has been in coaching ranks 44 years, with 29 of them at the collegiate level. Originally from Butte, he came to Montana from Colorado State where he was an assistant coach from 1993-2007.
