Court records indicate that Wacker’s alleged crime spree began on October 17th and ended on the 19th when he was arrested. After attempting to use one of the stolen credit cards, Wacker told the merchant that ‘he was in the witness protection program’.

At his court appearance via video from the Missoula County Jail, Deputy Missoula County Attorney Brittany Santorno asked Judge Landee Holloway for bail to be set at $25,000.

“This defendant is charged with several offenses resulting from a 48-hour crime spree in which he stole property from two different trucks, one while armed with a knife,” Santorno said. “He stole a Chevy Suburban and several credit cards, all while he was hopped up on meth and heroin.”

According to prosecutors, Wacker has  a criminal history that includes theft, partner or family member assault and various drug charges.

Judge Holloway set bail at $5,000, and ordered Wacker to appear again on November 4.
