Tax Increase

The Missoula City County Health Department has confirmed that the pertussis outbreak has survived the summer and now two elementary school children are confirmed to have the disease. 169 total have been affected.

In a wide-ranging interview, Mayor John Engen revealed that there will be another tax increase this year.

The Missoula City Council raised taxes on city residents nearly six percent in the 2016 budget.

At Monday night's Missoula City Council meeting, the 2016 budget was approved, and with it comes a 5.69 percent increase in taxes.
