Suspicious Fire

Frenchtown Rural Fire crews were dispatched to an historic church in Alberton late Sunday night for a fire in the basement.

Missoula Rural Fire was called to a car and house fire in Bonner late Tuesday afternoon. Assistant Fire Chief Brent Christofferson said the fire was suspicious in nature.

On Tuesday afternoon, Missoula Rural Fire crews were called to respond to what was thought to be a car fire, but turned out to be much more.

Both Missoula fire and police officials are investigating a suspicious fire that was reported to 9-1-1 early Sunday morning on Turner Street on the city's north side.

An unidentified Alberton woman may owe her life to a passing motorist who saw a modular home on fire, called 9-1-1, jumped a fence and brought the woman outside to safety.
